Derby Days Are Different Here captured the build-up, atmosphere and energy surrounding Manchester’s biggest football fixture, bringing together the city, its fans and Asahi Super Dry’s matchday experience.
Across the 2024 and 2025 campaigns, the films followed both the men’s and women’s fixtures, from the streets of Manchester to the stadium and Asahi-activated pubs, creating a portrait of derby day from a city-wide perspective.
THE RINGER
Asahi’s The Ringer follows footballers stepping into games across Manchester for a day of unexpected competition. The men’s campaign sees Yarni take on multiple 7-a-side games, while the women’s campaign follows the Kmita twins as they alternate between playing and commentary across a women’s tournament.
